FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - BARTER COACHING PROGRAM

1) I just paid my Monthly Subscription Fee. What happens next?

Several "behind-the-scenes" actions occur once your payment is completed in PayPal. 

  1. Enrollees are added to the barter coaching program mail group using basic information from PayPal (first name, last name, email address). 
  2. A "Welcome" email containing additional information and next steps is immediately sent to the enrollee. 
  3. A coach profile is created in the coaches' database to include City, State, or Country which is also obtained through PayPal.

2) How can I change my email address for the program?

When you pay for the barter coaching program through PayPal, the email address from your account is used by default. If you prefer to use a different email, simply notify the program administrator by using the "Contact Us" page on this website and send your request through the online form, or via WhatsApp. We're happy to update your profile immediately.

3) I used someone else's PayPal Account for payment. How do I provide my info instead?

If you used a different PayPal account to join the barter coaching program, and want to change all of your information, follow the steps in question #2 above to send an email with the needed corrections.  We're happy to make any changes to your profile.

4) Does my Monthly Subscription Fee automatically renew each month?

Yes, the monthly fee is set to automatically renew. Participants must remain active for a minimum of 3-Months and then may cancel at any time. If engaged in an active barter coaching assignment, you must have an active subscription until the assignemnt ends.

5) Why do you need to know where I live?

Your location is used solely for the administration of the barter coaching program.  The program uses the city, state, and country information associated with your PayPal to identify your time zone location. Time zones are the primary data point used to pair coaches during assignments.

6) I never received an email from The Helping Hand after enrollment.

The Helping Hand barter coaching program utilizes a mail service for its email needs. On occasion, emails can end up in a spam folder instead of the inbox. Please check your spam and/or trash folders to confirm delivery. If you do not find your Welcome Email, notify the program administrator through the "Contact Us" page or notify us using the online form or via WhatsApp.

7) I don't use Facebook, so how will I get information?

We realize that not everyone in the barter coaching program is on social media. We deliver all program updates and continuing education information through both social media (private Facebook page) as well as through electronic mail. A Facebook profile is not required and will not preclude you from receiving all program information. All benefits of the program can now be accessed through the Private Portal once you establish your account.

8) How long does it take to get a coach assigned to me?

Under normal circumstances, barter coaching assignments are made within a week of joining the program. However, short delays can occur due to the restricted availability of coaches, or when coaches are not currently available for assignments. Coaches that have not received an assignment within ten days (including weekends), may send an inquiry using the "Contact Us" page.

9) What happens if my assigned coach and I are not a good match?

Even in the "real" coaching world, coaches would normally interview their clients to see if they could work together, but the barter coaching program makes "blind" assignments in that regard, so an assignment could be made where two coaches are not the right fit. In that case, immediately use the "Contact Us" page on this website to inform us of the conflict, and a new assignment will be made for both participants.

10) How long must I work with my assigned coach/client?

The barter coaching program no longer prescribes a set number of sessions.  We suggest that participants consider conducting 12 sessions for each coach only to mimic a typical coaching agreement, but coaches may agree to hold as many, or as few, sessions as they both agree to hold.  There are no minimum or maximum requirements.

11) How do I get my Continuing Coach Education (CCE) Credits?

Particiapting coaches have access to the Provate Protal on tour website where they sinply submit the CCE request form following their attendance to a LIVE event, or after watching the replay video in the Training Library. CCE Certificates are sisued withn 48-hours of receiving your request.

12) Why doesn't the program allow for pairing by niche?

The vision of The Helping Hand Barter Coaching Program is to provide a community where new coaches can practice their coaching skills and gain confidence in the coaching profession. We've learned that there are as many niches as there are coaches and trying to align niches results in extremely long delays in assignments. Staying committed to our vision, we maintain a focus on practicing coaching skills in general as we believe these skills are the same skills needed regardless of the chosen niche.
