The Helping Hand started in 2018 with 26 coaches who agreed to barter their coaching services. Under the administration of its Founder, Greg Storch, the program grew into a worldwide community of over 550 professional coaches in its first year. Today, there are approximately 400 active coaches in our database from around the world (42 States and 24 Countries). All participants are graduates from the course of instruction offered by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC).
Bartering is the exchange (goods or services) for other goods or services without using money. When professional coaches barter their coaching services, their coaching hours are considered "paid."
In a barter coaching system, the International Coach Federation (ICF) requires that coaches trade their services, session for session, in order to claim "paid" coaching hours towards their certification (ACC/PCC). The Helping Hand facilitates the pairing of coaches so new coaches can begin accumulating paid hours immediately.
The only requirement to join the program is the completion of iPEC's Mod III. Your iPEC final exam, remaining coursework, and certification are not required to begin, and you do not have to be a member of the ICF.
The Helping Hand program is designed to support iPEC coaches who desire to continue practicing the art and skill of coaching in a safe environment and have an interest in bartering their coaching services with other iPEC coaches to earn paid coaching hours towards their ICF Credentials.
Develop and maintain your iPEC coaching skills following Mod III in a safe environment where graduates continue practicing and learning with other iPEC coaches. In return, you also receive coaching in this bartered-coaching system.
Participate in a recognized bartered coaching system designed to help coaches accumulate "paid" coaching hours towards their basic International Coach Federation (ICF) Certification. According to the 2016 ICF Global Coaching Study, coaches who hold a credential from a professional coaching association report higher annual revenue from coaching than their peers without a credential.
Every month offers a new webinar or training session provided by seasoned iPEC coaches and highly trained instructors. Enhance your current coaching skills while you forge new ones. Revisit iPEC coaching tools like "Breakthrough Laser Coaching" by attending special training sessions via Zoom.
The Helping Hand has approximately 400 iPEC Coaches in 24 Countries and 42 States around the world. The large database of coaches enables new coaches to coach, and be coached, every week of the year, maximizing their exposure to the coaching profession.
Join the private Facebook Group as an active coach in the program and continue receiving access to recorded webinars and training, free templates such as Coaching Agreements, ask questions, promote ideas, and gain support while accessing current announcements.
One of the most important things in business is to not only follow the process but to fall in love with it. Here, coaches are free to test out their client logs, explore best practices for onboarding new clients, and to work out other business-related processes such as online scheduling and new business applications.
