Greg founded The Helping Hand Program in June 2018. After completing his coach training with the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC), he was faced with the reality that he would no longer have interaction with his peers in the course and was concerned with how he would maintain his coaching skills. He knew he needed to keep practicing in order to become the best coach he could be, and to gain the confidence to start offering one-on-one coaching services under his company, Lion Enterprise - a leadership development and coaching business.
In addition to the shock of being on his own, a move from the United States to Northern Italy was only a month away after he completed the iPEC program. Greg's greatest fear of losing his coaching skills before he ever got started were coming true and so, ironically, The Helping Hand was created from his reaction to FEAR!
Greg learned about bartered coaching towards the end of his coach training program. It is a method of coaching that allows coaches to earn "paid" coaching hours by trading services. It is a great solution for new coaches and coaches without paying clients. Bartered coaching sounded like a win-win, so he contacted his fellow iPEC coaches and by July 2018, Greg had 26 coaches in The Helping Hand Program.
Within the first 4 months, the number of iPEC coaches grew to just over 150, and within the first year, the program exploded to 550 coaches around the world. Greg worked with the International Coach Federation to ensure his program met the standards required to claim "paid" coaching hours towards their certifications (ACC & PCC). Monthly training sessions soon followed, until he had forged relationships with several former iPEC lead instructors who have partnered with him to bring quality training to the program month after month.
The Helping Hand enters it's third year in 2020 and it has proven to be a community of like-minded coaches who practice their coaching skills in a safe environment while gaining the confidence they need to reach their potential as coaches.
